Monster Island, The Asylum's 2019 mockbuster that was released around the same time as Godzilla: King of Monsters, is about an island called Monster Island where a monster may be discovered, who is sort of the island, the Monster Island, if you will.


It is an asylum film with a budget similar to a large kid's meal. The Asylum uses it well, focusing on just a few characters and keeping the big stars together in (Monster Island Asylum) one set, where they can record all sequences during lunch. However, let us not forget that this is the kaiju genre, and well... that is sort of how they go, so maybe The Asylum won't do such an awful job with it?
